This listing is for an original signed pastel painting of several sequoia tree trunks, snow still clinging to the ground in late spring. Painting measures 6x9", matted in white to 9x12". Original artwork by Catherine LaPointe Vollmer. Painting can be framed in a cherry red frame. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
Framing tips for pastels:
- Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper.
- Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer.
- If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
