Fine Art - Plein Air Paintings
I work in the style of Modern Impressionism. Modern impressionists seek to capture the fleeting effects of light through loose and expressive brushwork. I particularly enjoy landscapes, plein air work, and florals. I usually work in either soft pastels, watercolor, or watercolor and ink.
Beauty surrounds us if we know where to look. That’s why I enjoy plein-air painting- getting up close to an area that I might otherwise have just driven by. I love reconnecting with places I had taken for granted, as well as discovering new and exciting vistas.
