An original pastel painting of a few bright leaves clinging to a tree during the final days of autumn. Painting measures approx 12x16" on mounted, sanded paper. Framed option will be framed in a black 12x16" frame (as shown in the framed image of the tree), with spacers and premium non-glare glass, wired and ready to hang. Unframed painting will be shipped protected with a layer of glassine paper between two rigid boards. Original artwork by Catherine LaPointe Vollmer. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
Framing tips for pastels:
- Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper.
- Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer.
- If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
