This listing is for an original pastel painting of a tall tree before a field of wildflowers, and mountains in the background. Titled "View Behind the Barn", this was painted en plein air (on location) behind the barn at Sisters Farm in the Adirondack Mountains. Painting measures 6x12" on sanded paper mounted to archival board, and can be framed in a handmade-in-USA black and gold frame, with premium non-glare glass, wired and ready to hang.

Framing tips for pastels: -Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper. -Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer. -If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
