This listing is for an original signed and matted gouache painting of a the view along a river bank in Upstate NY. Titled "Bayside", it was painted en plein air (on location) in summer of 2023. Painting measures approximately 3.5x8", and has been double matted in white to 9x12", ready to frame.

Framing tips for pastels: -Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper. -Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer. -If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
