Titled "Casita", this 6x8" soft pastel was painted on Pastelmat archival paper en plein air in Albuqurque NM. Painting has been framed in a black and gold made-in-USA frame, with premium non-glare glass.
Original artwork by Catherine LaPointe Vollmer. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
Framing tips for pastels: -Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper. -Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer. -If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
