This listing is for an original pastel, painted on the Heron Marsh in Paul Smith's. "As Above, So Below" was painted on 12x16" sanded pastel archival board. May be framed in a black and gold made-in-USA frame behind premium non-glare glass. Original artwork by Catherine LaPointe Vollmer. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
Framing tips for pastels:
- Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper.
- Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer.
- If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
