This listing is for an original signed mini pastel painting of the famed golden hills of California, near Fresno, Kings Canyon, and Yosemite National Park. This will be a familiar sight to lovers of the Golden State. Approximate size is 6x8" on Canson pastel paper, matted in white to 9x12". Original artwork by Catherine LaPointe Vollmer. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
Framing tips for pastels:
- Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper.
- Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer.
- If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
