This painting is a view from near the top of Great Basin National Park in Nevada, looking up at Wheeler Peak. Measures 16x20" on sanded paper mounted to archival board, framed in black.
Framing tips for pastels:
- Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper.
- Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer.
- If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
