Lonesome Tree Canyonlands Utah National Park Pastel | Signed Original Painting Impressionist Art
An original signed pastel painting of a lonesome tree standing sentinel over a path in Canyonlands National Park. Canyonlands is an American national park in southeastern Utah near the town of Moab. The park preserves a colorful landscape eroded into numerous canyons, mesas, and buttes by the Colorado River and the Green River.
Original artwork by Catherine LaPointe Vollmer. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
Painting measures 9x12" on mounted archival sanded paper. If painting will be shipped unframed, it will be protected with a layer of glassine paper between two rigid boards.
Framing tips for pastels:
- Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper.
- Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer.
- If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
