This 9x12" pastel painting, titled "Way Through Zion", was inspired by standing alongside the river that runs through, giving life to the valley. Original artwork by Catherine LaPointe Vollmer. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
Framed option will be framed in black to 9x12", with spacers and non-glare glass, wired and ready to hang. Unframed painting will be shipped protected with a layer of glassine paper between two rigid boards.
Framing tips for pastels:
- Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper.
- Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer.
- If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
