Hudson River Valley- Upstate New York Vintage Travel Poster- Art Print
This design features my favorite part of the river, the Upper Hudson Valley region. The headwaters of the Hudson are in the Adirondack Mountains, not widening until it passes Glens Falls and heads towards Albany. This part of the river is close and intimate, with mountains on either side, and provides great opportunities for whitewater rafting!
The Hudson River is a 315-mile (507 km) river that flows from north to south primarily through eastern New York in the United States. The river originates in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York, flows through the Hudson Valley, and eventually drains into the Atlantic Ocean, between New York City and Jersey City. The Hudson Valley is divided into three regions: Lower, Middle, and Upper. The area is associated with the Hudson River School, a group of American Romantic painters who worked from about 1830 to 1870. The school characterizes the artistic body, its New York location, its landscape subject matter, and often its subject, the Hudson River.
