Delaware Vintage Travel Poster- Beach Dune Path to Chesapeake Bay
Delaware borders Maryland to its south and west; Pennsylvania to its north; and New Jersey and the Atlantic Ocean to its east. The state takes its name from the nearby Delaware River. On December 7, 1787, Delaware became the first state to ratify the Constitution of the United States, and has since been known as The First State. Featuring the First State's iconic tiger swallowtail butterfly, channeled whelk seashell, and dune yucca plants (and don't forget the beach umbrella!).
