Lake Ontario Vintage Travel Poster
Lake Ontario is one of the five Great Lakes of North America. It is surrounded on the north, west, and southwest by the Canadian province of Ontario, and on the south and east by the American state of New York. In the Huron language, the name Ontarí'io means "Lake of Shining Waters". Its primary inlet is the Niagara River from Lake Erie. The last in the Great Lakes chain, Lake Ontario serves as the outlet to the Atlantic Ocean via the Saint Lawrence River. This poster features the Oswego West Pierhead Lighthouse behind the wildlife. Original artwork by Catherine LaPointe Vollmer. Designed and printed in New York State. (Images have some watermarking texture to prevent AI scraping. Watermarks are not visible on physical products.) Listing is for print only, mat and frame are not included unless you choose the framed option- framed in a handmade-in-USA black frame, with plexi glazing- styles may vary. 11x17" posters printed on heavy linen paper for a vintage textured feel. 24x36" posters printed on semi-glossy poster paper, and will take additional time to print. Colors may vary due to monitor settings.
