This listing is for an original signed pastel painting of a snowy field in the Adirondack Mountains. Painting measures 7x11" on textured stock. Original artwork by Catherine LaPointe Vollmer. Painting can be matted and framed in brown to 8x12", with premium anti-glare glass. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
Framing tips for pastels:
- Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper.
- Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer.
- If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
