"Lone Birch" Tree Pastel Painting
This listing is for an original pastel of a birch tree in the forest, painted en plein air during autumn in Upstate NY. Measures 4x12" on sanded paper mounted to archival board. This painting can be framed in a handmade-in-USA black and gold frame, with premium non-glare glass, wired and ready to hang. Original artwork by Catherine LaPointe Vollmer. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
Framing tips for pastels: -Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper. -Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer. -If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
