An original pastel painting of a staircase leading down to a bridge reflecting into the water. Painted en plein air (on location) in Carmel, Indiana on pastel paper mounted to archival foam board. May be framed in a 20x20" black and silver frame behind premium non-glare glass.
Framing tips for pastels:
- Frame behind glass, not acrylic or polystyrene. The static from plastic-type glazing will pull the pastel dust away from the paper.
- Pastels must not touch the glass, or they will smear. Use a mat or framing spacer.
- If matting, put some foam core or a spacer between the painting and the mat. This will prevent pastel dust from falling in front of the mat, discoloring it.
